Appeals Procedure
Knole Academy Admissions Appeal Timetable for Year 7 entry in September 2013
In accordance with section 2 of the School Admission Appeals Code, this is the appeal procedure for Year 7 entry to Knole Academy for September 2013.
Parents who have not been offered a place for their child at Knole Academy have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel.
Should you wish to lodge an appeal you should send the completed form and any additional relevant information that you feel will assist you to the Clerk to Governors, Knole Academy, Bradbourne Vale Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 3LE. The appeal form can either be downloaded from the KCC website at www.kent.gov.uk/secondaryadmissions or by calling 0300 333 6472.
The deadline for submitting your application is noon on Tuesday 16 April 2013. Please be advised that any additional information should also be submitted by that date. In accordance with the Appeals and School Admissions Code, any additional paperwork submitted after this date will be accepted by the panel but they may decide not to consider it at the hearing.
You will be notified of the time and date of your appeal by 27 April and the appeals will take place in early May.
Parents will be notified of the outcome of their hearing within 5 working days after all the appeals hearings have taken place. Following a successful appeal the place will be confirmed by Knole Academy and joining details will be sent out accordingly.
