Knole Academy - Kent Choices Event

As part of Knole Academy's commitment to ensuring every student has the best start to their career and a positive September Destination either in education, employment or training, last Monday around 50 Year 11s were invited to attend their own personalised careers event held at Knole Academy.

This event was created with an ongoing successful partnership with Kent County Council and Knole Academy and was targeted at those young people who did not have more than a 'Plan A' for September once their GCSEs were completed. At the event were local colleges including North Kent College, West Kent College and Hadlow College, other further and higher education and training providers such as Kent Adult Education, Supajam and YMCA training providers, volunteering opportunities such as NCS and the KCC Apprentice Service, as well as Knole Academy's post 16 offer.

The day consisted of talks from providers, a providers 'marketplace' where students could ask questions, get information and apply and also workshops on apprenticeships and CV building.

The day was a huge success and the young people participating got a lot from it.  We hope they all go on to have a successful career.
