Students at Knole Academy are encouraged to explore a wide range of career choices through our information and guidance programme. We aim to prepare our students for future opportunities in the world of study and ultimately their working life. Students gain knowledge and develop skills in employability awareness.
PHSE lessons delivered by tutors are centred around career choices and delivered to the Key Stage 3 students encouraging them to problem solve in order to gain a wider insight into their future choices and outlining the many opportunities available today in the world of work.
Year 10 students will undertake one weeks work experience in the summer term.
Key Stage 4 (Year 11) students have in-house careers guidance in the form of individual and group meetings on sixth form pathways, apprenticeships and college courses. This facilitates them in keeping on track with their GCSE studies. As a follow on from this, we would like to inform students and parents that individual and group career guidance meetings are available, by appointment, students may also be accompanied by parents/carers.

Key Stage 5 students have the opportunity to attend the Apprenticeship Fair and the UCAS Higher Education fair, to give them a better understanding of their future choices. We encourage Knole Academy (Year 12) students to undertake work experience/shadowing or volunteering to give them an insight into the world of work. This enhances their future employability skills and provides an excellent foundation for their CV's and personal statements.
Knole Academy regularly invites speakers from local businesses, universities, the NHS and the world of media, to give our students an insight into their own career pathways and the opportunities open to young people.
