Parent Staff Association

There is an active Parent Staff Association and all parents are automatically members. There is no annual subscription, but the committee welcomes parental support at the various events held throughout the year. The parents are very supportive of the school and have already presented many items of equipment which have benefited the students.

The Parents’ Association had a busy term planning the Christmas Fair on Saturday 2 December and raised an amazing £6,000. The Fair is the biggest annual fundraiser and has been a really successful event over the last 9 years raising more than £31,000. This has contributed to funding many projects and equipment for departments which have enhanced the learning of Knole Academy students.

This year the Parents’ Association has funded:

  • Hand sanitizers for every classroom to help reduce the spread of germs, thereby reducing illness and improving attendance
  • New football/rugby posts
  • Photographic equipment for the Art department
  • The new safety barriers for the bus queue system aimed at reducing the risk of accident
  • Music equipment for the ever developing school orchestra
  • Contribution to the Sixth Form Prom

Judianne Sherrell, a new member of the PA, said:"Why not come and join the PA and make a bridge between home and school. Great way to feel more involved with everyday life at Knole Academy and give something back to show our appreciation for how hard the staff work and what a fantastic learning environment our children are lucky enough to learn within. The role just requires a small amount of time, as much as you are able to give. So far I have attended 2 meetings both of which have been short and sweet, and I enjoyed helping out at the Xmas fair. I feel much more in touch with the school and even get to put a few faces to the teachers! Perhaps you've got ideas about social events or fundraising opportunities. Just get in touch."

If you would like to get involved with the Parents’ Association, please email the following information to and mark if for the attention of Mr Massey:- Parent name, student name, contact telephone number and email address.
